myclimate «Cause We Care» is the movement for climate protection and sustainable tourism in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Together, companies, associations and private persons actively engage in climate protection. The myclimate «Cause We Care» platform offers our partners in the tourism industry a simple way to calculate their carbon footprint, as well as to increase funding for internal sustainability measures and plan them out easily. And it can also help them get both employees and guests on board for the journey to net zero.

The new myclimate «Cause We Care» platform makes registering simple and user-friendly for our partners, meaning Cause We Care is even easier to implement.

The «Cause We Care» approach is simple: Act locally – carry global responsibility. We keep our current CO₂ emissions as low as possible and ensure that our carbon footprint is constantly shrinking. We support climate protection projects for all CO₂ emissions that are still unavoidable today.

How does «Cause We Care» work?

A myclimate «Cause We Care» partner offers customers the opportunity of making a voluntary contribution to climate protection and sustainability when purchasing a tourism service, event ticket or product/offer. This amount will then be doubled by the tourism partner or the event partner. The amounts collected go into a dedicated fund at the tourism or event company. Of these funds, 25% are used to support national and international climate change projects that take responsibility for unavoidable emissions.

The other 75% will be used for the company's own sustainability activities. Participating companies/organisations can implement effective sustainability measures. In this way, a double impact is achieved: globally and locally.
