STRIM: Effortless shared mobility solution

Exhibitor: MOBY BIKES LTD

Stand: Hall 18 | 100

MOBY BIKES is a global bike share operator headquartered in Dublin (Ireland) that provides bespoke bike and moped share offerings to different end clients such as public authorities (European Parliament in Strasbourg, Dublin Airport Authority, Dutch Police, Sports Ireland, Irish county councils), delivery businesses, corporates, business parks, hotels and restaurants, individual delivery riders etc.

In particular, their client base includes food and quick commerce companies like Dominos, Gorillas, Getir, and Just Eat Takeaway besides 200+ restaurants. They also serve corporate campuses like Salesforce, Hotel brands like Sheraton, Hilton, Aloft, Mercure, and act as elements of multimodal mobility hubs that bridge the first and last mile to transit. Through their private bike share schemes for hotels, they have served thousands of hotel guests across Europe. MOBY BIKES has a fleet of more than 3500 bikes (electric, pedal, cargo, wooden), electric scooters, trailers, electric mopeds etc. They operate in Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia, France, UK and the USA.

Their latest innovation is STRIM, a universal parking and charging solution for e-bikes and e-scooters with a “tap and ride” capability. MOBY BIKES believes this is the future of shared mobility as it not only facilitates app-less rentals (users don't need to download any app to register, they can rent bikes or scooters just by tapping their credit / debit cards or digital wallets like Apple Pay) but also provides an inexpensive way of charging multiple bikes and scooters simultaneously in a daisy chain formation utilising existing bike stands in a city. This is ideal for tourists since no matter wherever they go, there is no need to download multiple operator apps to be able to ride a bike or a scooter. Eliminating the cumbersome process of user registration in fact encourages users and tourists to adopt cycling & shared mobility more proactively, enabling them to explore local neighbourhoods with ease in a green and sustainable way.
