From preparing an offer to invoicing: TripMatrix supports travel agencies
What is the main product that a travel agency sells? Is it package holidays, hotel rooms, transfers or flights? Ana Milas from TripMatrix believes something else is much more important: people travel because they want to be happy. Speaking at the ITB Convention on Thursday she said: "Our focus is not on selling travel, but happiness." However, happiness is fragile, especially if something goes wrong on one’s journey. She experienced this first-hand when she was stranded in London on a trip to the US and nobody looked after her at the airport. Ana Milas is therefore convinced that anyone who books with a travel agent always wants to feel safe, taken care of and respected.
Ideal for travel agencies
For travel agency owners, it becomes a major challenge with a lot of communication work particularly when travel plans suddenly change – due either to external factors or because customers alter their plans. According to Milas, the developers of TripMatrix are also from the travel agency world – and have therefore created software tailored to the needs of travel agencies, thus relieving them of their daily routine – whether it is preparing offers or invoicing.
Travel offers can be updated or customised at any time
The software can be individually configured, for cancellation and payment conditions for example. The resulting offer can be sent to the customer via a link. If there is any aspect they wish to change this can be switched at short notice – and the offer is automatically updated. Changes can be viewed in real time - even by travel agency colleagues.
Invoicing on a commission basis
According to Milas, the TripMatrix software is a platform for all travel-related processes as well as extremely easy and intuitive to use. “This technology is there to help us," said Milas. There are also no licence or installation fees for the software. Commission payments are only due once the customer has actually paid for the trip.
