Vision: Searches, bookings, sharing experiences and memories in one app

Super apps and digital innovations are fuelling the rise of all-in-one platforms for frictionless bookings, payments and beyond, said Boon Sian Chai, Managing Director and Vice President of International Markets at Trip.com Group. Summarising, he said the following trends would dominate the future of travel: sustainable mobility, with a focus on sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), electric vehicles and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). Microtrends and niche experiences were also increasingly important travel topics.

  • Adventure holidays, visiting concerts or sporting events
  • Social media and AI are increasingly influencing travel decisions
