ITB Career Center: launchpad for a successful career

From 5 to 7 March at the ITB Career Center in Hall 4.1, job seekers can find out about the career of their dreams. Some 15 universities, technical colleges and career academies from Germany and around the world will have information and advice on courses and training opportunities in the travel and tourism industry.

In addition to prestigious institutions such as the Swiss EHL Hospitality Business School, the EVBB in Brussels and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, German institutions such as Hochschule Heilbronn, Hochschule München, HWR Berlin and the IU Internationale Hochschule are also represented. Around 15 national and international universities, universities of applied sciences, vocational academies and other service providers will be exhibiting in the ITB Career Center in Hall 4.1 from 5 to 7 March.

The ITB Career Center is sponsored by the Federal Employment Agency, which will be represented in a recruiting area. This is where job seekers can meet HR managers from larger and smaller companies, find the job of their dreams, and get valuable tips and career advice. Comprehensive services include free photographs for job applications, which can be checked on the spot.

Companies on the stand of the Federal Employment Agency include AIDA Cruises, easyboarding, EURES, Fair Job Hotels e.V., the Motel One Group, MSC Cruises, Rocco Forte Hotels, UNICREW Management Liberia and Viking River Cruises AG.

Programme highlights on the ITB Lighthouse Stage and at the Future Work Track

What are the skills required in the travel and tourism industry? What do women want from a career? These are just some of the questions experts will give answers to at the Future Work Track of the ITB Berlin Convention. A detailed overview of the Future Work Track sessions can be found here.

The programme of events on the ITB Lighthouse Stage in Hall 4.1 also has fascinating highlights:

  • Master Slam – nine universities present their Master’s degree courses on Tuesday, 5 March at 1.15 p.m.
  • Panel discussion on the job outlook and career prospects in the cruise industry on Thursday, 7 March at 11 a.m.
  • Future Talents Speed Networking event on Thursday at 1 p.m. – where up to 20 young talented people meet eight participating companies, including AIDA and RUF Jugendreisen
