Medical and health tourism features strongly at ITB Berlin 2024
This is the first time the Croatian Chamber of Commerce is represented in the Medical Tourism segment, and the first time Slovenia is appearing as a supporting partner and exhibitor in the Medical & Health Pavilion in Hall 3.1.
Among the partners who regularly attend are the long-standing Premium partner Barcelona Medical Destination, together with other exhibitors including FIT Reisen, the Gremi Klinik from Albania, HTI – Health Tourism Industry and ESPA – European Spas Association.
It should also be noted that the EHTTA – European Historic Thermal Towns Association – is expanding its participation with numerous co-exhibitors and featuring an attractive events area for visitors. In addition to a thermal water tasting session, the association is hosting a Spa Cinema in order to attract visitors.
The Medical & Health Pavilion will once again be the forum for medical and health tourism at this year's ITB Berlin from 5 to 7 March.
The official opening of the Medical & Health Pavilion will take place on Tuesday at 1 p.m. – followed by a Medical Media Lunch with the exhibitors and partners from Croatia, Slovenia and Barcelona. The programme also includes a presentation. Media representatives can register now for the Medical Media Lunch.
Media representatives are also invited to attend a networking event on Wednesday evening from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m., and can register here now.
Another highlight this year is the Educational Hub on the Medical & Health Stage, which features a fascinating programme of presentations, interviews with experts and panel discussions. Topics focused on here include dental sleep medicine, thermal water applications, and health and sports tourism.
Finally, visitors can look forward to the ITB Medical & Health Night, which this year will take place on Wednesday, 6 March at 7 p.m. at the Baret rooftop restaurant at the Humboldt Forum. During the event, the presentation will also take place of the annual ITB Medical & Health Tourism Award. In 2024, the coveted award goes to the Slovenian Tourist Board for outstanding achievements in medical health prevention, rehabilitation and medical thermal applications.
