"Where is the magic carpet, please?"

Once upon a time... Sinbad the Sailor, the Frankincense Route, and the Three Wise Men from the Orient. Oman’s eventful past fascinates people and the traces of its 5,000-year-old history are omnipresent. Goods, ideas, and innovations have been traded here for more than three millennia.

Approximately a seven-hour flight from Germany, with direct flight connections by Oman Air from Frankfurt, Munich, and Zurich to the capital Muscat, MICE groups immerse themselves in a world of 1001 Nights. The safe MICE destination on the Arabian Peninsula scores with its scenic diversity and authenticity – MICE groups will also find a comprehensive infrastructure for events, conferences, and exhibitions here.

Locations are available in the city, by the sea, in the mountains, the desert or in the back country. They form a productive setting for participants to engage, network with like-minded people and be inspired. Event planners looking for a very special location for an evening event are spoilt for choice in the Sultanate of Oman and always encounter the warm hospitality of the Omani people.

The beach at the five-star Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah resort, a 20-minute transfer from Muscat’s city center, promises an unforgettable setting for a gala dinner. Here, groups of up to 80 people enjoy a dinner underneath the stars with banquet seating, quietly accompanied by the sound of the sea and the soft rustling of the palm leaves. The iconic Royal Opera House Muscat is the premier venue when it comes to arts, culture, and education. With its seven extraordinary rooms for a total of up to 1,100 people and other versatile spaces, it offers the ideal setting for cocktail receptions or gala dinners in much larger groups. Particularly beautiful are the Omani style verandas framed by elegant gardens. At the luxurious Kempinski Hotel Muscat with 310 rooms and suites, MICE groups will find the largest ballroom in the country with space for up to 2,000 delegates in the framework of a reception and 700 people seated in banquet style.
